TREVOR KENT
Trevor
Kent has over 40 years experience in the international power engineering
sector, in a wide variety of management roles.
During the past 18 years, he was worked as an independent consultant
to a wide variety of major organizations, specialising in contractual
aspects of major engineering and infrastructure projects. Among his clients
have been the major German and European power utility, RWE, where he
advised its renewable energy subsidiary, Harpen, on project management
and business development opportunities. He has also been heavily involved
in supporting the strategic planning and environmental permitting of
Wingas GmbH, the German gas transmission and supply group. He undertook
a study of the Water and Environmental Engineering industries on behalf
of Babcock International plc. He also served as Director and Company
secretary of a UK landfill gas and waste treatment company. Other clients
have included Nuclear Design Associates, Ferrostaal and Wintershall (UK).
Until
1990, Trevor was President and Chief Executive of King-Wilkinson Group,
which provided project management, engineering, contracting and
operating plant services to Oil, Gas and Power industries.
Prior to this, he served for 5 years as Commercial Director for the UK’s
National Nuclear Power Corporation.
In his earlier career, he held senior sales management positions with two leading Italian engineering companies Snamprogetti, and Nuovo Pignone.
Trevor is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and was successful in the Council of Legal Education Bar Examinations at Grays Inn in London. He graduated in Engineering from the University of Durham.
